When you arrive for your first visit at our dental practice in Whitchurch, we warmly welcome you and show you our comfortable waiting area. If the weather is nice, you are also able to wait in our lovely and calm back garden. If necessary, we may ask you to fill in some new patient forms.
Your initial examination is slightly longer than your routine appointments will be going forward, as we take the time to get to know you and your oral health. We begin by asking you a little about your overall general health and if you have any concerns about your teeth and gums. We examine your mouth in detail, noting anything that may need further treatment. We may also take digital scans or X-rays.
Following the examination, we explain our findings to you. We use cutting-edge digital technology to show you what is happening inside your mouth, and may give you some tips and advice for keeping your oral health in the best condition at home.
If you need any further treatment to enhance your oral health, or are interested in cosmetic dentistry to improve your smile, we create your bespoke treatment plan. We go through the timeframe and costs involved and give you the chance to ask any questions. We can also make you an appointment to see our hygienist if this is something you are interested in.
